Workers' Comp in Mississippi

An injured worker is entitled to two types of benefits under workers' compensation insurance in Mississippi:

1. Medical benefits cover all medical expenses related to a workplace injury.
2. Wage benefits replace a worker's lost wages up to two-thirds of the employee's weekly wages for the amount of time that the insurance covers. Wage benefits must be paid to the employee every 14 days by the employer.
